The Cruisers Blazing Hoops fundraiser is an event where anyone can come out, try wheelchair basketball, and support a great cause! Even better, bring a team of friends, and compete!
Cruisers Blazing Hoops Tournament & Fundraiser is named as after the Blazers Wheelchair Basketball program started by Kathy Ludwig. In the fall of 2008, Kathy’s program integrated into the Cruisers as our wheelchair basketball program, to offer more sports to our athletes.
Either as a tournament or a fundraising event, the annual Basketball event has been named in tribute to the grassroots program Kathy started up in 2001.
The 2020 event took place on February 2nd, at St. Marguerite d’Youville Secondary School in Brampton, from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm. Sikh Motorcycle Club members took part in the event to raise awareness through our platform.
